FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Kuala Lumpur, 27 November 2025 - DARA has launched the first components of the DARA Index Family, a new suite of benchmarks designed to give fund managers, wealth managers and product issuers a trusted foundation for digital asset price discovery and market assessment. The launch introduces rules-based indices that bring greater clarity, governance and values-aligned assurance to a market that has expanded rapidly but remains under-represented in global index frameworks.
Digital assets remain under-represented in global indices, despite the growing participation of institutions and the increasing demand for regulated investment products. DARA aims to close this gap by offering indices that apply transparent methodology, multi-venue data validation and clear eligibility criteria. These foundations are intended to give institutions a safer and more structured pathway into the asset class.
"Every major asset class matures once credible benchmarks emerge. Our first indices are designed to give institutions a dependable starting point, where pricing, methodology and governance are clear and consistent. This is essential for regulators, fund houses and investors who want structure and transparency before building long-term products," said Wallace Yu, President of DARA.
The DARA Index Family
The DARA Index Family has been developed to provide a transparent, institution-ready framework for digital asset price discovery and benchmarking. The first indices in the suite are the DARA Bitcoin Index (DARA BTC) and the DARA Digital Asset Top 30 Index (DARA Top 30 Index).
The DARA BTC Index provides an institutional-grade reference price for Bitcoin, supported by multi-exchange validation and a fully transparent methodology, and is already live. The DARA Top 30 Index will be introduced soon and will offer broad market exposure by tracking the top 30 digital assets by market capitalisation.
DARA will also roll out the DARA Shariah Bitcoin Index and the DARA Shariah Digital Asset Index, giving investors access to products that meet recognised Shariah compliance standards.
Methodology and Governance
All indices follow DARA's transparent rules, multi-venue data validation, independent oversight and tamper-resistant governance. Full methodology documents and historical datasets will be made publicly accessible so that fund houses, asset managers and product issuers can adopt the indices with clarity and confidence.
Future Roadmap
More indices will be released over the next six months, including a targeted suite of Shariah-compliant digital asset indices and ESG-aligned digital asset indices.
Today's launch sets the foundation for a new generation of regulated products anchored on verified, rules-based benchmarks. It provides asset managers and wealth managers with a standardised starting point for portfolio construction, market analysis and risk management.
Collaboration Opportunities
DARA welcomes collaboration with regulators, asset managers, sovereign wealth institutions and innovators seeking to license the DARA Index or develop custom ESG or Shariah-aligned benchmarks. For more information on DARA's index solutions, please visit www.dara.finance.
